hello - from phuket

Hi everyone,
A big hello from phuket. found this cafe which has free wifi so grabbed the chance to say hi to you all. missing you all a lot. :)

so far the trip is going great. :) new country, new kind of people, new language, new culture. few cultural shocks too. ;) Ko Phi Phi Island was amazingly beautiful.
phuket is also a beach but completely different from phi phi.
So much to share with you all already.
anyways we are going to bangkok tomorrow.
will share pics and all the experiences with you all soon :)
Will try to get to net again I think cause here (and also in bangkok) everywhere its free wifi.

Trip to Thailand. :) 15 - 25th feb 2011

Itinerary: 15th night flying, reaching Bangkok 3 hour halt then next flight to Phuket and from there 1 hour in fairy to Phi Phi Island :) (3 nights) then coming back to Phuket - Patong beach.. (2 night) after that flight to Bangkok - Siam Square.. (4 nights)... 25th flight to Mumbai.. we might be coming online, on and off.. so let me know if u guys want anything specific from here. thank you very much for your anniversary wishes.. in advance :) see you next to next week on Saturday or Sunday at my place.. so see pictures.. ta ta.. only one regret this could have been our annual trip... ( okie let's not go on that track ) will surly Miss you all. c u then.. bye.

ગાડી,વાડી, તાડી અને ઉબાડિયું

Hi friends,
A grand welcome to 2011…Finally we managed to take out some time from our busy n boring routine and utilised it by having a refreshing break… I know it was a short trip which is not enough to wash out the paleness of an entire busy and hectic year but still we can consider it as a revitalizing starter…the main course is still pending...:)

I hope all of you must have enjoyed the trip. Though we arranged it very quickly and almost at the last moment, it was as good as our previous (highly) organised trips...Sometimes these quick decisions and accidental plans work out so well.

Guys, we did not went to any chilling hill station or fascinating wildlife park this time…but yes…there were lots of minor minor things which we enjoyed a lot… A travel car drama in the morning….an evening at calm and serene temple…fun at a hotel room…Kapils sensual and seductive dance moves…a walk in a chilling water of dandi beach….lovely wadi and sweet taadi….“sheela” ki jawani…very very supportive and enthu Patel family/relatives and a yummy peppery taste of ઉબાડિયું...

I have observed that though we think and plan too much for finding a good location to get a break...our trips can only be successful and happening with fullhearted participation of each member of the group. It’s very difficult to leave few people at home and enjoy the trip. I think this trip was memorable because we all managed to get leave and we all agreed upon having a break instead of complaining about the location and expenses. I hope we will have such trips again n again.

I know year 2010 was full of ups and downs for few of us...but a quality time spend with friends always make you feel good and I think it was the best way to give a farewell to year 2010.

Finally I want to thank all of you for “once again” making my Birthday memorable. Special thanks to organisers Mr. and Mrs. Ramparia who managed things very well (as usual)...to Mr. and Mrs. Kunkawlekar for being an “Active” members.......to Sanjubaba for being quite yet active...and to Kaps also for keeping us happy n smiling all the time. Guys, Very sorry for waking up you all early on Sunday morning and ruining our Sunday plans.

I wish all of you a Happy, Healthy and Happening 2011. Enjoy!

The grand annual trip...

As every year, its feb again....
Time for our annual trip... :)

So lets put leave for 2 weeks from 14th Feb to 25h Feb.
And lets start our research and suggestions on places to visit this year....

(doesnt mean we ignore sam's current calling of 31st plans.
This is just so that we start planing in time and put our leave well in advance)

तो.ती.आणि थंडी..

आत्तापासून १० वर्षे पुढे. डिसेंबरचाच महिना. हवेत बोचरा गारवा. त्या दोघांची गाडी मध्येच कोणत्यातरी गावच्या रस्त्यावर बंद पडलेली. तेवढय़ात त्यांना दिसलेली कोपऱ्यातली एक चहाची टपरी. त्याने जवळपास तिला खेचतच तिथवर आणले. बोचणारी थंडी, हातात गरमागरम वाफाळता चहा, त्याचा एक मंद प्रसन्न करणारा असा दरवळ आणि..ती दोघं एकत्र..जुने दिवस न आठवतील तरच नवल.
काय फ्रेंडस, गेलात ना १० वर्षे पुढे?..अहो सध्याची थंडीच काही वेगळी आहे. नोव्हेंबर-डिसेंबर दरम्यान पडणारी ही थंडी तशी सगळ्यांनाच प्रिय. लहानांपासून मोठय़ांपर्यंत, सर्वाच्याच थंडीला असा एक वेगळा रंग असतो. मात्र तरुणाईच्या थंडीला असणारा रंग काही वेगळाच असतो..गुलाबी थंडी..प्रत्यक तरुणाने कधी ना कधी अनुभवलेली अशी थंडी. आजकाल प्रत्येक सकाळ ही काहीशी रेंगाळलेलीच असते. सकाळी सकाळी लवकर उठणे तर शीर्षांसनापेक्षाही अवघड गोष्ट वाटायला लागते. अन चुकूनमाकून जर लवकर उठून कॉलेजला गेलो आणि लेक्चरला बसलो तर म्हणजे ‘अरसिकपणाचा कळसच’. अनेक तरुणांच्या मते, बाहेर एवढी छान थंडी पडलेली असताना हातात वाफाळत्या चहाचा पेला घेण्याऐवजी पेन धरणे म्हणजे तर तरुण असण्याचाच अपमान. कारण अशा या बोचऱ्या थंडीत चहाचा पेला हा अमृततुल्य मानला जातो. मग अशा या अमृतरुपी पेयाचे ३-४ (किंवा त्याहुनही जास्त) पेले, तरुणांना ‘स्वर्गाहूनही  प्रिय’ असणाऱ्या टपरीवर किंवा कॅन्टीनमध्ये बसून रिचवले जातात. आत्ता कुठेतरी तरतरी येतेय असे वाटत असतानाच, अचानक समोरुन केसांची बट हळूच कानामागे दडवून, दोन्ही तळहात एकमेकांवर चोळून शोधक नजरेने सगळीकडे बघत ‘ती’ येते. आणि मग काय..सारे अवसानच गळून पडते. तिची ती भिरभिरती नजर ‘त्या’च्या मनाचा ठाव घेते. अचानक त्याच्या हाताला गरम चहाच्या गरम पेल्याचा चटका बसतो. ‘काय रे लक्ष कुठाय?’ नाईलाजाने का होईना त्याला आपल्या मित्रपरिवाराकडे लक्ष द्यावेच लागते. ‘अरे यार, या थंडीत मस्त दोन दिवस ट्रीपवर जाऊ. मस्त शेकोटी पेटवून एन्जॉय करु ना..’ कोणीतरी ट्रीपचे पिल्लू सोडते. सगळ्यांना कल्पना पसंत पडते आणि मग जणू काही आपण शेकोटीभोवतीच बसलो आहोत, अशा अविर्भवात सर्वजण वागायला लागतात आणि तिथून जाता जाता तो तिचा चोरटा कटाक्ष मिळवण्यात यशस्वी होतो.  थंडीतल्या या अशा  २ँ१३ & २६ी३ प्रेमकथा आपल्याला आजकाल अनेक कॉलेज कॅम्पसेस मध्ये पहासला मिळतील. बऱ्याचजणांना हिवाळा हा द मोस्ट रोमॅन्टीक सीझन वाटतो. म्हणूनच की काय १४ फेब्रुवारी हा दिवस प्रेम दिवस म्हणून साजरा केला जातो. खरेतर आपल्या तरुण प्रेमवीरांना बाराही महिने रोमॅन्टीक रहायला आवडते. पण थंडीची मजा काही औरच असते. तो.ती आणि थंडी.ती दोघे एकत्र असले की हवेतला गारठा कधी गारवा बनतो कळतच नाही. तो त्याचा हात तिच्या हातावर ठेवतो आणि अचानक तिच्या अंगावर रोमांच सरसरते. ‘काय गं, काय झाले?’ ‘अहं, काही नाही..थंडी वाजतेय’ थंडीचा असाही एक उपयोग..ही थंडी गुलाबी व्हायचे अजून एक कारण म्हणजे बाईकवरुन जाताना त्याला मुद्दाम ब्रेक मारण्याची गरजच उरत नाही. कारण हवेत वाढणारी थंडी आपसूकच त्या दोघांमधले अंतर कमी करते. या थंडीता परिणाम आपल्या गाण्याच्या टेस्टवर सुद्धा होतो बरं का. सकाळी ट्रेनमधून जाताना, विंडोसीटला बसून ‘पहली बार मोहोब्बत की है’ चे स्लो व्हर्जन किंवा ‘बोल ना हलके हलके’, ‘ही गुलाबी हवा’, ‘तेरी ओर’ सारख्या गाण्यांबरोबर थंडीचा पुरेपूर आस्वाद घेतला जातो. आणि मग शेकोटीभोवती प्रियंका आणि शाहिद ऐवजी ‘मी’ आणि तो किंवा मी आणि ‘ती’ आहे, असे स्वप्नांचे इमले बांधले जातात अन् बोचणारी ही थंडी अधिकच गुदगुल्या करुन जाते. हिवाळ्यातली सकाळ जेवढी रेंगाळलेली असते तेवढीच दुपार आल्हाददायक असते. त्यामुळे थंडीतली दुपार ही इतर वेळच्या दुपारींपेक्षा अधिक रोमॅन्टीक असते. त्यामुळे मग अशा या दुपारीत प्रेमवीरांना आसरा असतो तो कॉफी शॉप्सचा..(तसा तो बाराही महिने असतो म्हणा.) बाहेर मस्त गार वारा, हातात गरम कॅपेचिनोचा मग आणि त्या दोघांच्या नजरेचा चाललेला लपंडाव.ती तिची नजर सारखी चुकवत असते आणि त्याची नजर तिला शाोधत असते. रस्त्यावरुन चालताना या जगात इतर माणसेच नाहीत या भावनेने ती दोघे भारलेली असतात. संध्याकाळ होत जाते. ५-५.३० वाजताच अंधाराने आपले अधिराज्य गाजविण्यास सुरुवात केलेली असते. जसाजसा अंधार गडद होत जातो तसतशी थंडी सुद्धा आपले अस्तित्व अधिकच दाट करते. आपल्या दोन्ही हातांची घडी घालून ती चालू लागते. अन् अचानक त्याचा उबदार हात तिच्या खांद्याभोवती विसावतो. काही क्षणांपुर्वी बोचरी असणारी थंडी अचानक उबदार कशी झाली याचे कोडे तिचे तिलाच उलगडते. अन् ती सुद्धा त्या उबदार स्पर्शाने काहीशी सैलावते. आणि मग काय..तो तर या क्षणासाठी ‘साष्टांग नमस्कार’ घालायचाच बाकी असतो.
थोडक्यात काय तर ही थंडी म्हणजे उन्हाळा आणि पावसाळा यांचे एक अनोखे मिश्रण असते.  उन्हाळ्यातला स्वच्छ, लख्खपणा आणि पावसाळ्यातला मस्त प्रसन्न गारवा यांचे..हिवाळा मुळात येतोच हे सांगायला की, आयुष्यात तुम्हाला बघाव्या लागणाऱ्या उन्हाळा पावसाळांवर फुंकर घालायलाच मी येतो. तर फ्रेंड्स थंडीच्या या लाटेवर स्वार व्हा आणि एक शीतल गारेगार हिवाळा सदैव मनाच्या कप्प्यात जपून ठेवा. एन्जॉय विंटर.
