How many of you have noticed that today is 17th August and it's the first birthday of our blog. Yes guys, It was 17th August 2006 when we posted our first post on this blog page. We were very new to this concept of communication but we all adopted it well with open hearts and contributed with all of our thoughts, views and knowledge. Its really good to know that most of us still daily visit this blog page and post comments.
Its been a year and things have changed a lot. People like Shardul, Nusu and Aditee has moved out of country and this blog has become the only medium to be in touch with an old friends. Guys, you can just click on the August 2006 link under the Archive section on the right hand side of blogpage and see how we got started and improved day by day.
Friends, people at my office really appriciate the way we share things on blog and the way we all are still bind to each other..I really want to thank you all for contributing to this blog and keeping it alive. Hope we all will always be so close to each other and we will Always be Friends!!

एका ओंडक्यावर पाच बेडूक बसले होते. त्यातल्या चौघांनी पाण्यात उडी घ्यायचं ठरवलं. मग ओंडक्यावर किती बेडूक उरले? ... पाच. कसे काय? अहो, काहीतरी ठरवणं आणि खरोखरीच तसं करणं यात फरक असतो!!!! दक्षिण भारतीय मंडळी वर्णाने काळी का असतात? कारण ती सनस्क्रीन न लावता सदोदित सन टीव्ही, सूर्या टीव्ही, उदय टीव्ही पाहात असतात!!!!
तो फार सज्जन माणूस होता. त्याने कधी सुपारीच्या खांडाचेही व्यसन केले नाही. त्याने आयुष्यात एकही खोटा शब्द उच्चारला नाही. त्याने परस्त्रीकडे डोळा वर करून कधीही पाहिले नाही... ... तो मरण पावला, तेव्हा इन्शुरन्स कंपनीने क्लेम नाकारला... ... ते म्हणाले, 'जो जगलाच नाही, तो मेला कसा?!!!
ए सकिर्ट,' जाडजूड पुस्तकातून डोकं वर काढत मुन्नाभायने विचारलं, ''वो नॉर्थ पोल रहता है ना, उस पे जो भालू रहता है, उस को क्या बोलते है रे?'' डोकं खाजवत सकिर्ट म्हणाला, ''उसको क्या बोलने का भाई? बोल के फायदा भी क्या? इत्ते दूर उस को थोडेही सुनाई देगा?!!!''
जन्माला येताक्षणी बाळानं नर्सला विचारलं, ''एक्स्क्यूज मी! मोबाइल आहे का तुमच्याकडे?'' '' आहे रे बाळा! पण तुला कशाला हवाय?'' '' मी सुखरूप पोहोचलो म्हणून देवबाप्पाला मिस्ड कॉल द्यायला!!!'' ................................................................................. गुलाब हा नेहमीच गुलाब असतो भले तो सोन्याच्या कुंडीत फुलो नाहीतर उकिरड्यावर त्याचप्रमाणे तू माझा मित्र आहेस भले तू सेंट्रल जेलमध्ये असो नाहीतर मेंटल हॉस्पिटलात!!!
भिडे जाम अस्वस्थ होते. मटारची उसळ आणि श्ाीखंड या द्वैवाषिर्क 'मेजवानी'साठी मुलाला पाव किलो मटार आणायला सांगितले असताना त्याने ३०० ग्रॅम आणले होते. त्याला काटकसरीचं महत्त्व पटवून देण्यासाठी काय करावें, असा प्रश्ान् होता. तो त्यांनी मुलाला रानड्यांकडे पाठवून सोडवला. मुलगा रानड्यांकडे पोहोचला, तेव्हा रात्रीची वेळ होती. वीज वाचावी म्हणून दारावर बेल नव्हती. त्याने कडी वाजवली. निव्वळ एका पंचावर असलेल्या रानड्यांनी हातात उदबत्तीएवढी मेणबत्ती घेऊन दरवाजा उघडला. दोघे आत गेले, हॉलमध्ये बसले. रानड्यांनी मेणबत्ती विझवून टाकली. '' घरात अंधार का आहे, ते आलं का तुझ्या लक्षात?'' रानड्यांनी विचारलं. '' आलं. आवश्यकता नसताना वीज जाळून अपव्यय कशाला करायचा?'' मुलगाही 'भिडे'च होता ना! '' करेक्ट. आणि मेणबत्ती का विझवली ते कळलं?'' '' कळलं. नुसतं बोलायचंच आहे, काही पाहायचं नाही, तर कशाला जाळायची वीज!'' '' पुन्हा बरोबर! पण, तेवढंच नाही. आवश्यकता नसताना वापरून वस्तू झिजवूही नयेत अकारण. त्यामुळे, मेणबत्ती विझवल्यानंतर मी पंचाही सोडून बाजूला ठेवून दिला आहे घडी घालून!!!''
ब्रह्माज्ञान चुका सगळेच करतात. कुणी पाहात नसताना त्या करण्याची कला साधली पाहिजे. तुम्हाला आयुष्याची उजळ बाजू दिसत नसेल, तर किमान जी काळवंडलेली बाजू दिसते, ती तरी पॉलिश करून चकचकवा. नकार देणे ही कला असेल. पण, होकार देऊन काहीच न करणे, ही त्याहून मोठी कला आहे.
बाळू बिनडोक हा उर्मट सरकारी कर्मचारी होता (ही द्विरूक्ती होईल का?) एसईझेडच्या कायद्याखाली खासगी कंपन्यांना शेतकऱ्यांच्या जमिनी 'मिळवून' देण्याच्या कामावर सध्या त्याची नेमणूक होती. भैरू भिंताडेच्या शेताकडे जाणाऱ्या रस्त्यावरच त्याची भैरूशी गाठ पडली. '' या शेताचे मालक तूच आहेस का रे?'' बाळूनं दरडावूनच विचारलं. भैरू म्हणाला, ''हो. काही काम होतं का तुमचं?'' '' मला तुझ्या शेताची पाहणी करायचीये.'' '' ठीक आहे. करा. पण, तिकडे, त्या मळ्यात जाऊ नका बरं का!'' '' मला जिथे जायचं तिथे मी जाईन. मला अडवणारा तू कोण?'' बाळू भडकला आणि खिशातून आयकार्ड काढून भैरूच्या डोळ्यापुढे नाचवत म्हणाला, ''सरकारी अधिकारी आहे मी!'' मोठ्या तोऱ्यात बाळू, भैरूनं मनाई केलेल्या, मळ्यात शिरला आणि अवघ्या दोनच मिनिटांत जिवाच्या करारानं धापा टाकत धावत बाहेर पडला... त्याच्यामागे शिंगं रोखून भैरूचा तगडा ढवळ्या बैल धावत होता... दोघांमधलं अंतर क्षणाक्षणाला कमी होत होतं... ''वाचवा, वाचवा'', भैरूला पाहून बाळू केकाटला... भैरू म्हणाला, ''पावण्या, माझ्या बैलाला दाखव की रे तुझं सरकारी आयकार्ड!!!!''

घर घ्यावं 'पाहून'! नवं घर घेताना तुमच्या इस्टेट एजंटकडून कधीही कानी पडू नयेत, अशी काही विधानं... छे छे! तुम्हाला कुणीतरी चुकीची माहिती दिलीये. तुमच्या बिल्डिंगचा फक्त मागचा भागच एका दफनभूमीवर उभारलाय! ........................................................................... अहो, एका बाथरूमच्या फ्लशमधून पाण्याऐवजी रक्ताचा फवारा येतो, इतक्या फुटकळ कारणासाठी हे घर भुतानं झपाटलेलं ठरवणार तुम्ही?!!! .................................................................................. हे पाहा! तुमच्या आधीच्या भाडेकरूनं अगदी स्पष्टपणे सांगितलंय की या घरातल्या माशा चावल्यावर फक्त दोन दोन इंचाचे फोड येतात. पू होऊन ते फुटतात चार दिवसांत. पण, त्या विषारी नाहीयेत अजिबात! ........................................................................................................................ अहो, मृत्यू प्रत्येक घरात होतो, या घरातही झाला. आणि सरकारी वकील तो खून होता, असं सिद्ध नाही करू शकले कोर्टात! ... आणि हो, तुमच्या शेजारीच हिमेश रेशमियाची म्युझिक रूम आहे!!!

Fresh Memories!

Hi Guys,
This post is especially for those with whom I havent spoke since last entire month. How are you all? Nusu, Shadru, Shweta, Rujuta, Aditee, Dipali, Manasi..Where are you all? and hows life? Hope you all are doing best in your life.
Friends, last entire month was like a bonus for us. After many tries, finally Mahesh got tickets for a great marathi show "Marathi Bana". ..Yes, The show was ultimate..and very well organised. After a long time I got to see something good in Theaters..It was the real show..Thanks Aditee for suggesting us about it.
As you all know We are just back from a short but sweet trip from Konkan with lots of memories. It was a good break for all of us from our daily boring routine and we all utilised it at the fullest. We went to Ganapatipule and Ratnagiri and visited some good places like Ganapatipule mandir, Jaigad, Pale Caves, Thiba Palace, Thiba point, Keshavsoot and Tilak houses, Parshuram Mandir etc. But best of all was Marleshwar..It was a lifetime experience looking at Huge mountain range with lots of small and big waterfalls falling from all sides..cold air..and a lord shiva situated inside a small cave....really friends we missed all of you..It was so pleasent place...
Bytheway Overall trip was toooo good...we had lots of gapshap and zagdas too..had special Konkani food...and stayed a MTDC sea resorts..enjoyed rain..travel...You will come to know about all these things...by looking at the pix clicked by each of us...let us know if you like those.

How about exploring a Konkan??
The Konkan is a coastal strip of Land bounded by the Sahyadri hills on the east, and Arabian Sea on the West. Every state in the konkan offers tremendous variety - History, Adventure, Wildlife and Sun- Kissed beaches. There are basically 3 main regions.

Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and Raigad.
Here are some options.

Option 1 - Ganapatipule

If we are thinking of Beaches, Then we can go for Ganapatipule which is in Ratnagiri District having a 400-year old temple which houses the Swayambhu Ganapati (a naturally formed idol) and a glittering white-sand beach.

Option 2 - Dapoli

Dapoli is hill station in Ratnagiri District.There are so many places around Dapoli - Beaches - temples, Caves, Forts - like... It is a small yet nice place. It is at a height of 700 to 800 feet from the sea level & is a cool & pleasant place. As it is located at a height, it is surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings. People are attracted to Dapoli village because of its natural beauty. In summer holdings & Christmas holidays, people especially from Mumbai & Pune come to spend their time.

Note: Do not expect luxorious resorts and exotic seaside getaways. There are quite a few motels and lodges and occassionaly a few good (but not so great resorts) dotting the region. Most motels are situated along the busy Mumbai-Goa national highway. These usually cater to the local tourists and trade travellers. The state-run MTDC - Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation runs a few (so-called) resorts at Malvan, Ratnagir, Ganpatipule and Kihim. These however are badly managed and in most cases poorly equipped.

However, if you can take care of yourself and manage to spend a few nights without much comfort and luxory, then you are in for a wonderful experience. A journey to this region with a wealth of natural resources is well worth compromising on comfort for a few days. Malwani food is fast becoming famous across the country. If fish is your favourite, start packing your bags. Go, indulge into one of the most unique travelling experiences in India!

Hi Guys,
I got free from one project yesterday and was thinking of taking a leave as soon as poosible. Today morning I was about to fill my leave form when I got a mail saying that I have been allocated on a project called Quantas. Which is obviously having some tight deadlines as useal. Guys, I was so upset..but then I directly went to my seniors and asked for a leave...and you know what?.... After a loooong natakbaji, finally I got a leave on 2nd and 3rd of August..but I have to finish the given task before goin on a leave..so have to work hard this week...Lekin Chalta hai yaar..as far as we all are going to get some good time togather, it's ok to work late this week.
Guys, I am done from my side now and ready for an expedition...What about you all???

hello ppl.....

its been very long as always....how r u all doing?....planning a picnic n all so must b very tired i guess....i wd love to have all of u here....in this beautiful place on earth.....
my parents in law r vising us here....they r already here n will b for a month more....as usual can check mails quite often....

just this weekend n last we went sight seeing .... but it was more than that....i have never seen nature so beautiful....the vast atlantic ocean the mountains the beaches.....the city everything is so wonderful....i just have no words.....we visited table mountain which is just another heaven on earth....then we took a ride in helicopter for 15 min...which were so thrilling....it was an open helicopter n i was sitting just by the edge....n below all i cd see was ocean....it was so frightning n thrilling.....n chilliing too.....

all the beaches here r so beautiful....there r ones with clean white sand n freezing water....the one with boulders....clean again....the with with apartments surrounding it....kind of private n roads running up on the terrace (u'll see in one of the pics...clifton bay).....the wild rains covering mountains....everything is wonderful....

n then there is our home in which we've shifted....its so beautiful...just like in the magzines...with a terrace from where u can see just mountains...three of them...table mountain, lions head n one more...

hello everyone......
first of all i have uploaded some pics on ur photobox a/c so please check them out....
they are abt when nusu was last in bombay and one more album is abt some of our frozen moments from our much delighted memories. thats about the memories from our last trip to pune.....
and seeing those bright golden days makes me think that its been 7 months since our last trip n its time to go for one more.
so people lets plan something nice this time also and lets just go......
i guess everyone is bored with the routine life and needs a break. andmore we think more the plan gets delayed so lets not waste time lets just go somewhere........ walk a lot, talk a lot, explore a bit and enjoy a lottttttt.
we were looking at going in last week of july (23rd july to 29th) or 1st week of august (30th july to 5th august) rt?. so i dont mind any one of the weeks.... if the coming week which is the last week of july seems tough for everyone then we can even take half the week off or else we can plan for something which falls on weekend (like may be including thursday, friday, monday type of a thing). or we can plan for the next to next week (30/7 to 5/8).

Dear sasubai ,this cars and bikes were on display as part of TRANSPORT FESTIVAL known as TRAM SUNDAY over here ,it was on sunday 15-07-07 so iwas just roaming around and clicked the shots it was an nice experience .The cars and bikes ihave shot were part of it and they are still in running condition they have maintain it well .I was enable to shoot all the vehicles so you can imagine how much more there were so you guys missed it .
