The Bombay Store Art Competition

The Bombay Store has initiated this art competition to recognize and reward promising talent in India and is looking to bring artists and their work into the limelight while serving to promote a culture that has a lively interest andappreciation of art.

The Bombay Store today announced the launch of The Art Competition that will see artists use their creativity in Art & Design using the Theme “‘FESTIVALS OF INDIA’ in POP Art Style. The Competition is in two categories a) Open b) Students. The Bombay Store has initiated this art competition to recognize and reward promising talent in India and is looking to bring artists and their work into the limelight while serving to promote a culture that has a lively interest and appreciation of art. 

The contest is open to all residents of India and participants will be in two categories ‘Open’ & ‘Student’. Commencing on the 25th of August the contest will run through to the 22nd of September and all entries will close on that day end of business hours at All Mumbai outlets of The Bombay Store (P.M. Road, Fort,  Phoenix Mills, Lower Parel, Inorbit, Malad & Vashi)

All artwork/ submissions in both the categories must incorporate the Theme ‘FESTIVALS OF INDIA’ in POP Art Style. The competition will have no restrictions to the kind of art that is presented provided it is in keeping with the theme and provides an adequate interpretation of the same. Forms for the entries are available at all outlets of The Bombay Store.

मी काल दुपारी गणपती बद्दल काहीतरी कार्क्याक्रम बघत होते... तेव्हा मला तुम्हा सग्ड्यांची खूप आठवण आली ... मी विचार करत होते कि खरच आपण जिथे असतो तिथे त्या काळी आपल्याला त्याची जाणीव होत नाही. इथे मला गणपती, दिवाळी, ईद कश्यात ही मजा वाटत नाही ... कारण एकच आपण सगळे एकत्र नाही नाही....

Its good to see that all of you have become so much workaholic and giving your 100% to it.

Thanks a lot for making me realise that work is more important than spending time with friends
Taking leaves and spending money on travel is complete stupidity and we should not think about it nowonwards.

All of us should now concentrate on working hard...making more money and doing more n more savings for our future.

Something Special

आज खूप दिवसांनी ब्लॉगवर काहीतरी लिहावसं वाटतंय...कदाचित त्याला कारणही तसच आहे.

१५ ऑगस्ट २००६...काही कारणानिमित्त आपण सगळे आपल्या जुन्या अड्ड्यावर भेटलो..अर्थात नित्तलच्या पार्ल्याच्या घरी...
गप्पा रंगल्या..गाणी झाली.. चहा, कॉफी, नाश्ता झाला.. कॉलेजच्या आठवणी निघाल्या आणि आता नेहमीच्या भेटी, गप्पा, गम्मत, मस्ती कमी होणार ..प्रत्येक जण आपापल्या पर्सनल लाईफ मध्ये बिझी होणार...याची जाणीव झाली....
त्यातूनच सगळ्यांशी एकत्रितपणे संवाद साधता येईल असं काही असावं..कदाचित... आपल्या ग्रूपचाच एखादा ब्लॉग असावा अशी कल्पना सुचली...

१8 ऑगस्ट २००६, "Always be Friends" नावाने ब्लॉग तयार झाला आणि त्याची पहिली पोस्ट पब्लिश झाली...

आज त्या गोष्टीला बरोबर ४ वर्षे पूर्ण झाली... आत्तापर्यंत एकूण ५११ पोस्ट झाल्या..भरपूर कमेंट्स आले...प्लान झाले...चर्चा झाल्या..फोटो शेअर झाले...भांडणं झाली...रुसवे फुगवे निघाले..."good news" शेअर झाल्या.
सगळ्यांविषयी सगळं शेअर करता आलं.....ओर्कुट आणि फेसबुक असतानाही मात्र ब्लॉग वापरण्याची इच्छा कमी झाली नाही...

आता कदाचित पूर्वी सारखा नेहमी भेटणं होत नसेल...भटकणं होत नसेल,,,कट्ट्यावर बसून कटिंग पिणं होत नसेल पण ब्लॉग च्या निमित्ताने का होईना आपल्यातला प्रत्येक जण अजूनही एकमेकांच्या तितकाच जवळ आहे.
कोलेज नंतरही एकूण १२ वर्ष आपल्या सर्वांना एकत्र बांधून ठेवण्यात जेवढी आपली मैत्री महत्वाची आहे तितकाच हा ब्लॉग...आपला वर्चुअल कट्टाच !
आज पूर्वीच्या काही पोस्ट पुन्हा वाचाव्याशा वाटल्या..खूप गम्मत वाटली..भरूनही आलं...घडलेल्या सगळ्या गोष्टींची एक शोर्ट फिल्म डोळ्यासमोरून गेली....आणि खरंच...आपल्याला असे मित्र मिळाले म्हणून आपण खर्या अर्थाने तरुणाई जगलो याच समाधान वाटलं..

Monsoon Picnic 2010

Guys,

Rain has started once again...climate is cool and pleasent..Its time to break your boring office routine, pack your bags, load your i-pods, take your cams and go out to enjoy the nature with your friends.

Memories of our previous trips to Murud, Pune, Ganapatipule, Harihareshwar and MP are still so fresh..those talks, jokes, fun, food, songs, beaches..n lots of things..

Let's plan our 2010 monsoon trip!

Guys, We need to book accomodation well in advance..So please please please revert back with your options and availability status as soon as possible.

I feel, we can plan it in the month of August..may be last week of August. (28, 29, 30, 31, 1)
